Our location in St. Gallen is no coincidence. The city is steeped in a long-standing tradition of textile artistry. We continue this legacy with a new interpretation of luxury \u2013 one that values authenticity, subtlety and timeless beauty. Surrounded by culture and craftsmanship, we create textiles with soul. Hanna Beck As a defining creative voice, Hanna Beck has been designing textile masterpieces with heart and dedication for over a decade. She joined the Christian Fischbacher design team in 2012 and took over creative direction of our atelier in 2018. Her work is marked by an extraordinary eye for detail and a deep connection to textile heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To her, Christian Fischbacher stands for refined luxury, outstanding quality and a distinctive design language \u2013 rooted in a history that goes back over 200 years. Hanna finds inspiration in handmade creation: sketching, drawing, painting directly onto the finest fabrics. In 2022, she and her family moved to a lovingly restored former weaver\u2019s house in Appenzellerland. During the renovation, historic textile patterns were discovered \u2013 a moving bridge between past and present<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The art behind the design<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For Hanna Beck, designing bed linen is more than just creating a product \u2013 it's an intimate connection to the everyday life of people. These designs become part of private, personal spaces. That\u2019s why the balance is key: the design must soothe and provide comfort, while still expressing character and style. This fine line between elegance, comfort, and personality is a daily challenge \u2013 and her greatest creative motivation.

Inspiration can come from anywhere \u2013 from the in-house archive, exhibitions, trend seminars and design magazines to social media and travels to design capitals. <\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Regula St\u00fcdli is one of the most sought-after names in textile design. Since 2023, she has enriched the Christian Fischbacher creative team with her unmistakable signature style. She brings valuable experience from the world of haute couture \u2013 which now flows into her work on high-end bed linen.

The fusion of exclusive fashion design and the world of interiors is a particular passion of hers. At Jakob Schlaepfer, she worked with a similar audience. In addition to her work for Christian Fischbacher, Regula runs her own atelier and shares her knowledge with emerging talent at institutions such as the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences or the preparatory design program in St. Gallen.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For Regula St\u00fcdli, a successful design goes beyond visual appeal \u2013 it should touch people on a deeper level and surprise them. Especially with bed linen, balance is key: white space between elements gives the design room to breathe and lends it serenity.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Inspiration from nature and culture
<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether strolling through botanical gardens, visiting international museums, or wandering the streets of a metropolis \u2013 Regula finds inspiration everywhere. A recent highlight was the visit to the historic Biblioth\u00e8que Nationale in Paris. Nature, too, plays an essential role: the stillness of the mountains and the rhythm of the seasons are a constant presence in her work.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A design close to her heart is the combination of SETA COTONE and FIORI PASTELLO. The exceptional blend of 60% silk and 40% cotton creates an incomparably soft, luxurious touch. The floral motifs \u2013 almost botanically accurate vines and leaves \u2013 are colour-matched to the elegant fabric. The result is a harmonious interplay of elegance, nature, and textile finesse.<\/span>

Bernhard Duss
<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bernhard Duss is a multi-faceted creative \u2013 a renowned textile designer, stage and costume designer, and exhibition curator. Since 2020, he has been part of the Christian Fischbacher design team. He values the perfect balance of rich heritage and design innovation \u2013 particularly fascinated by how Christian Fischbacher revolutionized bed linen in the 1970s with colourful prints. He sees it as his mission to carry this pioneering spirit forward.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Alongside his work for Christian Fischbacher, Bernhard remains active as an independent designer in theatre, exhibitions, and personal projects.

Inspiration everywhere \u2013 designing with intuition<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For Bernhard Duss, inspiration isn\u2019t tied to a place \u2013 it\u2019s about perception. A chocolate wrapper can be just as inspiring as a baroque inlay, a modern building, or a blooming garden. What matters is openness \u2013 the ability to see meaning in the seemingly random. Time awareness plays a role too \u2013 sensing what people long for. Bernhard observes a lot, but ultimately, it\u2019s not about trends: it\u2019s about creating patterns that resonate emotionally. Often, a design starts with a feeling and takes shape through the creative process.

The ideal bedroom<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For Bernhard Duss, the bedroom is a space of retreat \u2013 a place where the unnecessary fades away. The bed is the focal point; everything else should recede. Walls, floors, and ceilings are ideally kept in soft, muted tones \u2013 providing a calm backdrop for the true centerpiece: the bed linen. Whether vibrantly patterned or pure white, it gives the room character and atmosphere \u2013 without saying a word too much.
